Church went really good on Sunday.
130 at sacrament meeting
10 investigators3 baptized
90 in attendance at baptism

The coolest thing happened Sunday too. We tracting into this lady and she came to church on Sunday. When she got there she saw the Covarrubias(the recent converts), as it turns out they are really good friends with each other. They used to be neighbors for about a year. In fact they had mentioned sharing the gospel to her, but we didn't know who she was and we had never got her information. By chance though we met her through tracting. She will go nice with the Santa Margarita Branch seeing as her name is Margarita. We will take the Covarrubias' with us to teach Margarita the lessons. One of the Covarrubias boys came to church which really surprised us, and after dinner with them we set an appointment to come back and teach one of the daughters. The daughter said if her brother could go to chruch, she can definitely go to church.

Thats all.

Family,

The other missionaries wanted to play basketball before playing soccer for the p-day activity. So Im pretty exhausted right now. So I'll talk> to you later BYE.

Just kidding, I'll write more. Sunday was a sweet day at church. All of our investigators that are getting baptised next week came. Everything seems in order with those three. Then 2 others came too. There were actually so many people at church the priests had to rebless the sacrament to get everybody.
Our branch is doing really well with missionary work. I had lost my camera for about a month. The other day when I was looking for my lost pen, I looked through my backpack and found my camera.

Temecula proved to be a fruitful area. And to think that I wanted to get transfered. Last transfer when the mission president was talking to me in reference to this transfer he said, "Do you think if you stayed you would survive"? I guess he thought it would kill me or something, but it didn't, this has been by far been my favorite transfer here. Everyone in the branch knows me because I've been here so long. Everyone is also really good friends with Elder Lopez.

Maryland and Temecula seem to been oddly connected. Lots of people from here go there and vise verse. Brother Staggs, Jared Yarn, Me.

Enjoy the school year.

Moinday, August 10, 2009

There is a boy in our ward who brought one of his co-workers to church. The person who he brought is named Ramon. He came last Sunday and then this Sunday. Sunday is his only day off work. We had a lesson with Ramon at the member's house. Last week we gave him a Book of Mormon. He said that after the lesson and after he got home, he just had a bad heavy feeling in his heart. He read the Book of Mormon and the feeling went away. He knows the Book of Mormon is true. We taught him the Plan of Salvation on Sunday. We invited him to be baptized and he said he had been wondering how and when he could be baptized. We set the date in 3 weeks on the 30th. We had to do almost nothing. He was completely ready. At first we thought he was out of our area, but then we realized that he is about 50 yards inside our area. From his house you can see the city limits sign. So we must have done something right because that was definitely a blessing.

The 13 year old girl(Maggy) and Bernardo are pretty close to baptism too. We are going to see if we can piggy back off Ramon's baptism with them.

So the work is good.

Love,
